A multi-year application to convert the two public television stations operated by the applicant to digital broadcasting. The applicant requests $2,760,300, which is 36% of the total project cost of $7,669,000. For FY2001, the project requests $1,609,500 for purchase of a transmitter, antenna, tower and other equipment needed to convert to KHET, Ch. 11 in Honolulu to digital. For FY 2002, the application requests $1,150,800 for purchase of a transmitter, antenna, tower and other equipment needed to convert KMEB, Ch. 10 on the island of Maui to digital. The applicant provides public television service to the entire state of Hawaii.
