To extend Montana Public Television service by constructing four translators to provide first public television service to the communities of Billings, Butte, and Great Falls, and to provide the first Montana public television service to Kalispell. The project requests $$3,506.314 in Federal funds towards a total project cost of $4,675,086. Project costs include $733,000 for the Billings translator, $350,000 for the Butte translator, $733 ,000 for the Great Falls translator, $533,000 for the Kalispell translator, and $124,000 each for equipment to be placed at the existing public television stations in Bozeman and Missoula. The project also includes $2,078,086 for a DS3 interconnection between all the sites proposed for the project. The project will provide first public television service to 243,000 people in Billings, Butte and Great Falls, and a second service to 60,000 people in Kalispell.
