A three-phase project for the digital conversion of WGCU in Fort Myers, Florida. The total cost of the Project is $2,363,000 and the 40% Federal request is $945,200. For FY 2001 the request of $375,000 will fund the station's digital transmitter. The $367,000 request for FY 2002 will cover master control equipment including server, router, converter, encoder, and switcher. The $203,200 requested for FY 2003 will fund the completion of the master control facility. The station serves a population of over 780,000 people.
