The application proposes a three-phase project to convert the applicant's public television facilities K15EE Ch. 15, Elko, to digital broadcasting. The application proposes 75% Federal funding for a project with a total cost of $272,101. The total Federal request is $204,076, and is requested in three equal annual amounts of $68,025 for FY 2001, FY 2002, and FY 2003. The funds will be used to purchase a microwave link, a microwave antenna, tower modifications transmitter, transmission line, satellite demod and related equipment. The applicant provides public television services to the approximately 25,000 people in the Elko area.
