A two-phase project for the digital conversion of WMFE in Orlando, Florida. The total cost of the project is $4,383,830 and the 40% Federal request is $1,753,532. For FY 2001 the request of $1,132,066 includes purchase and installation of the transmitter, the STL, a file server and monitoring equipment. The request of $621,466 for FY 2002 will complete the master control facility by purchasing and installing a switcher, router, automation and archival systems and test equipment. The station serves a population of approximately 2.6 million people.
