To improve the transmission facilities of public television station KOET, Ch. 3 in Eufaula, Oklahoma by replacing a 24-year-old RCA transmitter with a solid-state low-band VHF 30 KW transmitter in order to continue to provide analog public television service to the southeast portion of Oklahoma. Both a remote control system and a precise frequency reference system will also be purchased--precise monitoring required to avoid interference with an adjacent channel 2 and remote control becoming possible due to reliability of the new transmitter. A stereo and SAP generator will also be added to the transmitter to provide service equal to that offered elsewhere in the state. The transmitter will serve about 348,000 people.
