The applicant proposes a three-phase project to convert the applicant's 4 public television stations to digital broadcasting. The application proposes 25% Federal funding for a project with a total cost of $9,694,899. The total Federal request is $2,432,725. For FY 2001, the applicant requests $1,269,875 for the conversion of KETA, Oklahoma City and KOED, Tulsa, including transmitters, antennas, tower modifications in Tulsa, fiber STL systems, studio equipment and test equipment. For FY 2002, the applicant requests $909,938 for the conversion of KOET, Eufala and KWET, Cheyenne, including transmitters, tower modifications, antennas, fiber STL systems and test equipment. For FY 2003, the applicant requests $243,912 for studio equipment in the Oklahoma City Technical Center. The four stations serve a statewide population of 2,738,000.
