To improve public radio station WHQR-FM in Wilmington, NC by replacing the STL system, including the remote control, and to improve and expand the station's production capabilities. The project will replace worn-out and obsolete equipment in both the master control studio and production control studio. The project will also upgrade the radio reading service by equiping a new studio dedicated for that purpose. Two new production studios and an edit booth will also be equipped through the project. The station provides the only public radio service for 300,000 people.
