To improve the operation of public television station WUNK, Ch. 25 Greenville by replacing an aging, potentially dangerous 1,000 ft. tower that also serves as the Network Transmission Control Center for the UNC-TV transmission facilities. The new tower is required to support new DTV broadcast equipment as well to carry existing equipment. The station currently serves approximately 595,000 people. The project will serve 628,000 people in North Carolina.
