A single-phase application project for the digital conversion of public television station WOUB, Athens, OH and its satellite repeater station WOUC, Cambridge, OH. The estimated total project cost is $2,968,040, with a 40% Federal request of $1,187,216. For both stations, the project would purchase a transmitter upgrade and a replacement digital STL. Station WOUB-TV would receive a tower upgrade. The two-station system would purchase varied master control equipment, most notably bug insertion units, a four-channel encoder, PSIP generation systems, an ATSC server, and satellite demods. The system would also receive diverse test and monitoring equipment. The two stations' signals reach a viewer audience estimated to exceed 1.4 million.
