The purchase and installation of a high power transmitter will enable WUNJ-DT to better reach much of the intended service area over 26,000 sq. km. The proposed generator will add reliability to the broadcast signal in times of extended power outages as well as providing power for communications equipment of several agencies that provide vital emergency services in this hurricane prone area.
