KUED is seeking this grant to replace aging and obsolete camera equipment and to upgrade some of the station’s digital editing and field production equipment. This will enable KUED to produce and broadcast local high definition digital (HD) content for our market for the first time. Because KUED provides the state of Utah with its primary public television signal, and because this project involves the urgent replacement of the station’s obsolete and potentially unreliable basic equipment, this project qualifies under Sub-priority B in the Broadcast Other category.
