Alabama Educational Television Commission is requesting PTFP assistance in a project for WGIQ-TV, Texasville, AL, to purchase an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) along with a 3,000 gallon fuel tank. WGIQ has suffered excessive periods of being off-the-air due to electrical hits and disruptions; and is a mandatory station to monitor for radio and television stations in the area under the state EMA plan.
