A project to construct two single frequency network transmitters to cover the central and eastern portion of Puerto Rico where coverage was lost after the digital conversion. This distributed transmision system (DTS) would synchronize three transmitters: the existing WIPR-TV transmitter in Cero La Santa in Cayey, a new transmitter in Luquillo and a third transmitter in Utuado, Puerto Rico. With DTS, WIPR would be able to restore service to 135,000 homes.
