The Georgia Division of Public Health proposes to extend the reach of the Georgia Information Network for Public Health Officials (INPHO) to serve at least 80 of the 196 community-based public health clinic sites operated by the State's county health departments. The project would also link the INPHO network with the network serving the Public Health and Preventive Medicine Residency Program at Morehouse School of Medicine; link the INPHO network to the Georgia Interactive Network for Medical Information, which provides information services to clinicians in 56 Georgia hospitals; establish a dial-up access for private pediatricians and hospitals to an immunization registry maintained at a rural county health department; and provide preventive health information and health promotion to families in a low-income inner-city neighborhood.
